In My Space
"In My Space" involves contact with lost places, featuring architecture and basic living elements, places where anyone can do anything at any given moment: the non-private space, space that is economically uninteresting. I use these spaces to hold a tangible bubble of emotions and events, which are not part of a narrative thread. The drama unfolds elsewhere while the build-up of tension is frozen outside of time to become the memory of an event, creating moments evocative of atmosphere and suspense. I aim for each piece to tell a story about the effects of global cultural interaction during the twenty first century as we lose ourselves in the hubris around us and on our devices, yet somehow become even more alone than ever before.
